
We are pleased to announce that the LDDP will be hosting the CIARb European Branch course – Module 1 – Law, Practice and Procedure in International Arbitration, in September 2025, held for the first time in Bucharest.
This comprehensive training program will be tutored by our colleague, Andreea N. Simulescu, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and CIArb – Approved Faculty Member – Tutor – for Module 1 – International Arbitration, a recognized arbitration specialist, practicing as lawyer, arbitrator and adjudicator.
This course aims to provide a detailed understanding of the procedural elements of international arbitration. Participants will delve into the law based on the Model Law of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), regional arbitration legislation and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules – to acquire the knowledge necessary to participate in such proceedings. The course emphasizes the legal principles, process, practice and procedure of international arbitration and is addressed to all those interested in the field, whether as a party involved, representative, witness or future arbitration professional. It is also an essential stepping-stone to qualification as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and for those aspiring to a career as an international arbitrator.
