LDDP announces that, effective 1 November 2025, Partner, Cosmin Soare – Filatov will be leaving the firm to assume the position of Counsellor to the President of Romania for Constitutional Reform within the Presidential Administration.
Cosmin has been part of LDDP for more than a decade, contributing significantly to the development of our public law, institutional governance practice and dispute resolution. During this time, he has played a central role in advising clients on complex legal matters, supporting dispute prevention and resolution strategies, and shaping high-level institutional reform projects. His expertise, professional integrity, and strategic judgement have been deeply appreciated by colleagues, clients, and partners alike.
The decision to accept this appointment reflects the importance and public responsibility of the mandate: advancing constitutional dialogue and contributing to institutional evolution at a critical moment for Romania’s legal and democratic framework. It also reflects the recognition of Cosmin’s professional standing and longstanding commitment to the rule of law and public interest.
Cosmin Soare-Filatov will formally conclude his partnership duties ensuring a smooth transition of ongoing matters to the existing leadership team. Our firm’s practice will continue to be led by the remainig partner supported by our broader team.
